BIRATNAGAR, NOV 02 - Maoist cadre on Monday greeted Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal with black flags in Biratnagar.

Nepal was in Biratnagar to inaugurate the Manmohan Memorial Polytechnic at Hattimudha VDC. Some five Maoist cadre showed black flags to the prime minister when he was requested to take  the seat of the chief guest. Police arrested four Maoist activists for their involvement in the incident.

Prime Minister Nepal opted to take an aerial route to attend the programme in view of the ongoing Maoist protests. The prime minister also cancelled two other programmes.
