PM meets Shah’s family

KATHMANDU, FEB 08 -
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday afternoon visited the family of slain media entrepreneur Jamim Shah at the latter's residence in Panipokhari and assured his family members that the government would bring Shah's assailants to book.

Paying condolence to the deceased Shah, the Prime Minister also admitted that a security lapse had occurred.

Shah's father told Nepal to bring the culprits to book and to improve the security situation in the Capital as the incident took place due to security loopholes.

The Prime Minister along with his political advisor Raghuji Panta, State Minister for Home Affairs Rijwan Ansari and Forest Minister Deepak Bohara went to Shah's residence after directing security officials to intensify the search operation for the assailants.

According to family sources, Shah's last rites will be carried out when his wife and son return home. Earlier, during the meeting with the heads of security, Nepal was informed about the incident and directed to take every possible measure to bring the killers to justice.
