POST REPORT

KATHMANDU, NOV 19 - The CPN (UML) is all set to give its youth wing, Youth Force, a shot in the arm.

“We have finalised Youth Force’s regulation. The upcoming politburo meeting--slated to begin from Monday--will endorse the text and the youth wing will become active after that,” Yubaraj Gyawali, Secretary of the UML, told the Post.

Gyawali noted that the UML’s sister organisation had remained passive in the absence of a regulation.

The regulation will rejig the organisational structure of the UML body, said Gyawali.

UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal will present his political report and the party’s view on contemporary politics at the meeting. According to Gyawali, the jamboree will endorse the party’s much-awaited regulation.

Discussions on some thorny issues related to the constitution are also on the table. “We will discuss issues like state restructuring, system of governance, power sharing and federalism. Factionalism within the party is also on the agenda,” said the UML leader.
