For the first
time in the country’s history Prime Minister
Girija Prasad Koirala, as the head of the
state, is welcomed by Chief of Army Staff
Rookmangad Katawal during an army function
to celebrate the Ghote Jatra - a festival
of horses at the Tundikhel Army Pavilion in
Kathmandu. The King used to attend the centuries-old
function.
