ROLPA, SEP 21 - Nepal Army (NA) personnel stationed at Rolpa-based Gorakh battalion have been suffering from diarrhoea. A team of doctors from the District Hospital has been providing treatment to a dozen NA men suffering from diarrhoea.
Diarrhoea has been reported in the battalion after the disease, that earlier took the form of epidemic in Rukum, Rolpa and other adjoining districts, came under control recently.
According to Om Krishna Pathak, a doctor at Rolpa District Hospital, diarrhoea was reported in the battalion last week.
"It is normal diarrhea," he said, "The health professionals are providing services from inside the battalion."
It has been learnt that the NA men had caught diarrhoea due to unhygienic food and water in the battalion.
The health professionals speculated that diarrhoea might have been seen in the battalion due to lack of proper toilets and their management.
