Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will go to India in the next few days to sign a deal regarding the arms import.
ROLPA, SEP 14 - Unified CPN (Maoist) Vice Chairman and senior leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai Monday charged that the government is preparing to import weapons from India breaching the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
Speaking at a programme organised by the United Revolutionary Council, a newly formed Maoists struggle committee, in Rolpa today, Dr Bhattarai claimed that the government is all set to import weapons from India with an intention to use those ammunitions against the Maoists.
He said that he came to know about the arms import via a special source. He, however, did not disclose the source.
Bhattarai went on to claim that Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will go to India in the next few days to sign a deal regarding the arms import.
Former Finance Minister Bhattarai warned that the Maoists will be compelled to raise the arms again if the government imports arms from the southern neighboring nation.
He accused the government of conspiring to alienate the Maoists from the peace process.
