UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has said that the decision regarding the construction of the proposed Regional International Airport in Pokhara will be sorted out soon.
Dahal, who reached Pokhara on Sunday, made such assurance to the members of airport construction stakeholders’ committee who have been staging a relay hunger strike demanding the swift decision on the regional airport. He said a team led by Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun will leave for China and the decision would be taken soon. Saying that there were some legal hurdles and it would be cleared during the visit, Dahal claimed that the airport would be constructed at any cost.
Dahal urged the members of airport construction stakeholders’ committee to change their agitation programmes saying that their agitation has already grabbed attention of the whole country. Dahal reached Western Regional Hospital today morning to take a stock of ailing Tamuwan incharge Dila Ram Acharya health conditions.
