KATHMANDU, SEP 21 -
The Nepali Congress has said that it can not participate in the Constituent Assembly election under the leadership of Baburam Bhattarai’s government.
A meeting of NC office bearers on Friday morning concluded that the current government led by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai can not hold the CA election .
Emerging from the meeting held at party President Sushil Koirala ’s residence in Maharajgunj, NC leader Deuba said the party is not ready to head for the election under the present government.
The NC has been claiming that the party should be given the chance to lead the national consensus government in the offing.
Likewise, party leader Arjun Narsingh KC said the party will be holding discussions with other political parties to support the party to lead the national consensus government.
