KATHMANDU, SEP 21 -

Bottlers Nepal, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative ‘Coca Cola Live Positively’ is hosting a lecture by Robert Swan, an advocate for the protection of Antarctica and renewable energy, at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu, on Friday

‘Live Positively’ is the new business guiding principle adopted by the Coca-Cola system worldwide.

Swan has been associated with Coca Cola’s zero water balance initiative for the last 10 years. He is the first person to walk unsupported to the North and South Poles.

Regarded by many as one of the world’s top motivational speakers, Swan presents to a diverse range of audience from organisations like BP, Coca-Cola, Akzo Nobel, Shell, Credit Suisse, Nokia, Unilever, Philips, HSBC and HP, among others. Amid charges of pollution on private companies, Swan says corporations have to be part of the solution on our survival on the earth. According to Swan, the private sector is increasingly realising that being responsible is part of good business practice.

Since 2003, Swan has led annual expeditions to Antarctica with students and business executives to focus on leadership training, environmental clean-up and education initiatives. The ‘Inspire Antarctic Expedition’ teams helped design and build the world’s first renewable energy education station in Antarctica, called the E-Base.
