Nepal has confirmed their place in the semi-final of the Second SAFF Women’s Football Championship with an emphatic 5-0 defeat of Maldives on Monday.
Nepali Skipper Jamuna Gurung bagged another hat-trick as Nepal continued their perfect start in the tournament. Earlier on the game on Saturday, Gurung had also scored four goals in 8-0 thrashing of Pakistan. Anu Lama and Dipa Adhikari also scored a goal each against the islanders.
Nepal will play their third group game against Afghanistan on Wednesday. Earlier, Afghanistan had played a 1-1 draw against Maldives.
