KATHMANDU, SEP 03 - The Supreme Court has demanded written clarifications from Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Chief Secretary Lila Mani Poudel in response to the writ filed by Irrigation Secretary Brinda Hada stating the failure to execute SC’s order to withdraw her transfer.
Hada had filed a lawsuit against the prime minister and the chief secretary on the charge of contempt of court .
The single bench of Justice Tahir Ali Ansari on Monday asked PM Bhattarai and Chief Secretary Poudel to produce a clarification letter within one week, explaining why Hada’s transfer was not withdrawn against the court’s decision.
