Most wanted rhino poacher behind bars
CHITWAN, AUG 03 -
The Chitwan National Park on Friday remaned a 'most wanted rhino poacher' to judical custody for investigation.
The accused poacher identified as Dil Bahadur Praja Chepang, a resident of Siddhi VDC-3, was sent sent behind bars for further investigation, National Park officials said.
A team deployed by the National Park had arrested Praja from Chitwan Medical College on July 24. Initial investigations by the National Park authority found his involvement in poaching of rhinoceros.
Praja, who had been absconding after he was made defendant on the charges of poaching and trading on rhino horns, was on the most wanted list of the national park.
According to a press statement issued by acting chief conservation officer at Chitwan National Park , Hira Ram Das, Praja is a notorious rhino poacher as he was found involved in several incidents.
