Open to all bands in Nepal

KATHMANDU, JUL 25 -

XclusiveZ Entertainment is going to organise an all Nepal band competition titled Songs Nepal XclusiveZ Band Clash 2012—A Road to Music al Fame, the finale of which will be held on August 18 at Bhrikuti Mandap. Auditions will be held in five different cities across Nepal on various dates—Butwal (July 28), Narayanghat (August 3), Pokhara (August 4), Dharan (August 11) and Kathmandu (August 16, 17, and 18).  For the auditions, each band will be given 15 minutes in which to perform two songs including one that is original. The genres eligible for performance are metal, rock, hardcore, jazz, blues, and R ‘n’ B.

Two bands from each of the five cities will get the chance to perform in the grand finale. The winner will be awarded a Rs 100,000 cash prize, an album recording, and the opportunity to make their own music video as well as other gift hampers. The second runner up will be awarded a Rs 50,000 cash prize, a music video and song recording. And the top 10 bands in the finale will be offered the chance to record an compilation album. The jury members for the competition comprise of legendary Nepali drummer Dev Rana, Robin Tamang from Robin and the New Revolution, Hari Maharjan from the Hari Maharjan Project, the principal of Nepal Music School, Iman Shah, and Umes Shrestha, the founder of KtmRocks. The grand finale will see performances from a number of guest bands, including Turnkey from India, Robin and the New Revolution, Jindabaad, White, and Space Cake Break.

Forms are available in various cities. Registration is open until July 25 and competition fees are Rs 5,000 per band
