Bus drivers have halted traffic at Barsain-Bishnupur road section from Sunday saying the bodies concerned did not pay attention to carry out maintenance of the road section as it has been in a dilapidated condition.
They halted the traffic demanding maintenance of the road section as it was difficult to operate their services due to big ditches in different places of the road section. The length of the road section is 12 kilometers.
Bus drivers said that the condition of the road is as bad as before though more than Rs. one million was spent in the last fiscal year for the road.
They said that they will not operate their services until the road section is repaired.Police Inspector at the Area Police office, Kalyanpur, Pradyumna Adhikary said that initiative has been taken to bring the service into operation. Passengers have been stranded due to the traffic obstruction. RSS.
