Nembang to blame for unproductive CA: Lekhi
POKHARA, JUL 19 - Chairman of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (Nefin) Rajkumar Lekhi said that ex-chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subas Nembang was to blame mainly for the dissolution of the CA without delivering a constitution.
Stating that the country failed to get a new charter thanks to the incompetence of Nembang, the Nefin chief demanded action against him. Lekhi is of the opinion that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Sushil Koirala, Jhala Nath Khanal and Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar were guilty on their part but the historic CA was dissolved due to Nembang's weaknesses.
"We know one cannot be judged as indigenous on the basis of face, speech and dress. He [Nembang] is not in favour of the oppressed," Lekhi told media persons in Pokhara on Thursday. He said that Nefin has launched a series of protests against Nembang.
In another context, Lekhi said that a new political force was essential for guaranteeing the rights of indigenous nationalities. "We are campaigning to form a new political force in the country."
