KATHMANDU, JUL 19 -
The UCPN (Maoist) has decided to include the demands of the former combatants in the political document of party Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal.
The office bearers meeting of the party held at Dahal’s residence in Lazimpat took the decision to its effect. Maoist Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that the legitimate demands of the former combatants would be included in Dahal’s report.
Earlier, the Standing Committee meeting on Thursday decided to form the taskforce to study financial irregularities in the cantonments.
The former fighters have demanded that the leadership take action against those involved in “embezzling” funds meant for cantonments and former fighters and suspend the guilty from the ongoing plenum .
