CAN selects 15-member cricket team

KATHMANDU, JUL 13 -

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has selected a 15-member cricket players' team for the participation in International Cricket Council (ICC) U-19 World Cup Cricket Competition to be held from August 4 to 27 in Australia.

The selected players are Prithu Banskota, team captain and Pradeep Aire, vice-captain.

Similarly, other players are Rajesh Pulami, Sagar Pun, Naresh Budha Air, Krishna Karki, Abinash Karna, Fajrul Rahaman, Bhuwan Karki, Hasim Ansari, Subash Khakurel, rahul Bishwokarma, Gopal Kumar Singh, Saurabh Khanal and Ram Naresh Giri, stated a press release issued by General Secretary of the CAN, Ashoknath Pyakurel. 

Likewise, other alternative players in the team are Surendra Chand, Pawan Shrestha, Rupesh Shreevastav and Prajesh Bahadur Singh.

The CAN said that member of the CAN Kiran Rana as manager, member Sunilman Amatya as assistant manager, Pubudu Dashanayake as coach, Jagat Bahadur Tamata as assistant coach and Raman Shiwakoti as technical commentator would participate in the competition. RSS
