KATHMANDU, JUN 26 - The Supreme Court has ordered the government to provide performance bonus to the staff of the apex court.
Responding to a writ filed on May 2 by the Employees Union of the apex court, a division bench of Justices Kalyan Shrestha and Prakash Wosti issued the order to this effect.
The bench has ordered for providing incentives to the staff of the apex court based on the indicators finalised by the taskforce comprising representatives from the Supreme Court and Ministry of Law.
The indicators include number of writs or cases registered and writing of the orders and final orders. The petitioners had argued that they be provided performance bonus akin to those recieved by the Ministry of Finance staffers.
