Belgian’s death: Police still clueless

Police are still clueless about whether Belgian woman Debbie Maveau, who was found dead at Syaphru VDC in Rasuwa five days ago, was murdered.
Security personnel investigating the case said facts would come out after the postmortem report comes out. Her body has been kept at TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. A team led by Inspector Bhakta Bahadur Sunar is probing the matter reaching the incident site. DSP Achyut Pudasaini said the passport of Maveau and cash Rs 7,000 were recovered at the site. Locals who had been to the site, suspect that she might have been killed with sharp weapons.
Maveau, 23, who had set out for Gosainkunda from Dhunche, was missing since June 5. Her decapitated body were recovered some 50 meters below the trail. However, her left hand is yet to be recovered.
According to Lamtang National Park, Maveau had reached the Brabal check point of the park on May 30.
