KATHMANDU, MAY 24 -
A five-member taekwondo team representing University Sports Association Nepal (USAN), an umbrella organization of five universities of Nepal, left for South Korea on Wednesday to compete in the 12 Gold University Taekwondo Championship. Coach Deepak Bista led a team of Ayesha Shakya, Yankumari Chaulagain, Anish Maharjan and Pushpa Thapa Magar to the championship in which a team from Nepal is competing for the first time. USAN General Secretary Purna Singh Bohara said they had high hopes from Shakya because of her experience in the international arena.
