BIRATNAGAR, FEB 27 -

CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has accused UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal of preparing to loot money in the name of vacating the cantonments in three weeks.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport, on his way to Hile of Dhankuta district where he is scheduled to address a mass meeting, he said the Maoists were creating environment to loot money once again in the name of combatants.

“They are preparing to grab money raised by the government from the poor people,” Oli said, adding, “Maoist has been creating environment for movement and Chakkajam. Although Prachanda's saying of vacating is positive, his saying has not truth as nothing of his assurances has been fulfilled.”

Maoists neither want to join other party's governments and nor involve others in their government, he said, and recalled the Maoists themselves had toppled Madhav Nepal and Jhalanath's government. The UML will in the end sideline the extremists from national politics, Oli added.

Speaking about the Dang incident of en-mass resignation of traffic police officers, he said it is wrong to resign by the 15 traffic cops when one had not used helmet.

Saying that many youths ride without helmets, police had taken action for them being UML workers, said Oli. Police sometimes even makes alliance with the criminals and defames the Youth Association, he accused.

The UML leader also urged Youth Association workers not to defame UML by violating traffic regulations by not wearing helmet. RSS
