UML not against peace, statute: Khanal

CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has said his party is not against the peace and constitution drafting processes.
Speaking in a news conference organised by the Ilam Chapter of Press Chautari on Sunday, Khanal said the UCPN (Maoist) being the largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA) should play an important role in concluding the peace process and the constitution writing.
The UML chairman also called on the Maoist to honestly implement the past agreements with other parties. Khanal said the parties should work towards accomplishing the peace and constitution writing processes within the remaining four and half months.
