PALPA, FEB 10 -

CPN-UML Publicity Department Chief and Politburo Member Pradip Gyawali said on Thursday that a separate security force to integrate the UCPN (Maoist) People’s Liberation Army (PLA) combatants cannot be formed.

Speaking at a programme organised by Press Chautari in Palpa district, Gyawali said that despite the agreement between Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to put up a separate force for PLA integration, the same is beyond possibility.

In another context, he claimed that current UML-led government will succeed in piloting the peace process to a logical conclusion and promulgating the new statute within the stipulated time.

Gyawali underlined that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) must be manned by that party, which leads the government—the UML.

On the occasion, UML Central leader Thakur Gaire also claimed that the current Khanal-led government will discover a way out from the political difficulties prevailing in the nation.
