One third power production cut in Mid-Marsyangdi
GORKHA, Feb 08 - The One third of power production has been cut in Mid-Marsyangdi Hydel Project due to the decrease of water level in Marsyangdi River.
According to Chief Officer of the project Mahendra Adhikari, though two turbines were used to produced 35 MW electricity few days ago, only 28 MW power has been produced using one turbine due to decrease on water level in the river.
Adhikari said the project has the full capacity of 70 MW power during rainy season, however, it has been producing only one third to its full capacity these days.
Similarly, the power production has been decreasing even in Marsyandi Hydel Project, he said. The project produces up to 78 MW power in the summer season.
