SUNSARI, Nov 21 - CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal on Saturday said that the tradition to seek foreign support to resolve domestic problems must be ended.

Hinting at the much-hyped agreement between UCPN (M) Chairman Pushapa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala in Singapore, he said the parties must seek consensus within the country but not in foreign lands.

“Consensus should be sought in Kantipur (Kathmandu) and not in Hastinapur or Singapore,” said Khanal, talking to reporters in the district.

He added the problem would be solved in our own country.

Khanal also made it clear that the Maoists have no alternatives to consensus.

Furthermore, he claimed that the current political deadlock will come to an end within this week and the budget will also be endorsed from the House.

There is no alternative to consensus and all parties must come to the terms to move ahead, he said.
