Starvation hampers trip of forest monitoring
BAJURA , Nov 20 - A forest monitoring team in Bajura heading towards Dahakat of the district was forced to return before reaching the destination following food scarcity.
The team from the Bajura District Forest Office left for Duwakot with a view to monitoring the forest area based in ward No- 1 and 4 of the village recently. But, they decided to cancel the trip after reaching Bhaunara Bazaar of Jugada, as they could not get any food to eat. Forest officer, political leaders, civil society members and human rights journalists were included in the team.
Many villages of the district have seen starvation this year due to the prolonged drought, said a framer Man Bahdur Karki of Jugada.
